Meet our friendly Belle Vue Girls’ Parents
We hope our team of parents can help you with any worries you may have about secondary school. This should be an exciting time for you and your child!
Laila
I have 3 children, my eldest is in Year 7 at Belle Vue Girls’ School and my other 2 children are at Heaton Primary. At the moment I am a full time housewife but have previously worked for the Inland Revenue. I had the advantage of knowing lots of parents whose children were already at Belle Vue Girls’ School so I contacted them all with all my worries that I may have had about secondary school. I understand that some parents may not know other parents from the school so I would like to offer my support to those parents. Please feel free to contact me through Belle Vue Girls’ School.
Rukhsana
My name is Rukhsana, I have got two daughters at Belle Vue girls’ School. I am a qualified Nursery Nurse, although I am currently at home looking after my younger children. My daughters have settled in very well at school and I would like to help other parents who have got any worries about the change from primary to secondary school. I think it is very important for parents to talk to each other and gain as much information, reassurance and guidance to put their minds at ease during this stressful time for parents and children. Please feel free to contact me through Belle Vue Girls’ School.
Nabeela
Hi my name is Nabeela and I have 3 children. My eldest daughter is in year 7 at Belle Vue Girls’ School. As I only moved to Bradford about 3 years ago, I knew nothing about the secondary schools in the area. I had to do my own research and check Ofsted reports and ask friends. I must have attended every open evening there was! I think it is very important to speak to other parents who have been through the same thing recently. I would like to help other parents and offer them my support. Please contact me through Belle Vue girls’ School.
Ruby
My name is Ruby I have got a daughter in Year 7 at Belle Vue Girls’ School and a son in Belle Vue Boys’ School. I also have a younger son in primary school. As well as being a full time mum I am involved in lots of different voluntary work in the community. I am the chairperson for the PTA at Margaret McMillan Primary School, where I also ran the playgroup. In my spare time I am also an Avon Lady and enjoy spending time looking after my pets.
When my daughter first started at Belle Vue Girls I met some parents from this school I had many concerns and was very lucky to have met some parents from last years YEAR 7’s, who answered a lot of my questions and gave me some reassurance about secondary school life. So if you have any fears or worries please contact me through the school so I can give you the same support.
If you would like to contact any of the parents then please call Saeeqa Rehman (Parental Involvement Worker).
