The qualification prepares students to work in a supervised capacity, with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments within the sector of Children’s Services.
Students will receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for entry to any assessment for this qualification.
They will have to complete Practice Evidence Records (PER) to a satisfactory standard. It is very important to link theory to practice and units of work have close links with the work experience environments in which they will be placed.
Guided Learning Hours (GLH)
These include time spent in contact with tutors who will use a number of different teaching methods, so that not all the recommended hours will be spent in the classroom.

Year 11 Maths groups achieve record number of A*-C grades for GCSE early entries, well done to all. Citizenship group reach district final of the Mock Trial Competition. Year 7 admissions for September 2012 reach record level. Building work continues at the school, 8 new classrooms and a Dance Studio will be completed by September.
